PINE CITY, Minn. (WCCO) — A 41-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the head in Pine City Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

The shooting was reported at approximately 4:49 a.m. on the 10000 block of Beroun Crossing Road.

According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, the victim’s juvenile stepson was placed under arrest after an investigation and is expected to be charged Thursday. He is currently at the Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, the victim was in surgery.
