Time To Work Off Those State Fair Pounds

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota State Fair has come and gone, but any extra weight you may have gained is likely still around.

With that in mind, it’s a good time of year to start thinking about a new fall workout routine that you can get excited about.

A strap system has become more popular in the last 12 months. The workout demands more of muscles you may not ordinarily use. The straps can be secured to a ceiling or a door frame.

“It’s always a new variable you have to control,” sid Eric Hall with Avatar Private Training Studio.

The adjustable straps allow you to use your own body weight to do a wide variety of exercises that will work the entire body.

TRX makes a unit that’s available for about $150. A number of gyms across the Twin Cities offer training classes.

    It takes 3500 calories to equal a pound. You would have to eat an awful lot or go to the fair pretty much every day to gain weight simply by eating the fair food alone. Maybe people’s eating habits outside the fair become worse at the same time?
