MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx will open the WNBA playoffs at home against the San Antonio Silver Stars on Sept. 16.
The Lynx have clinched the league’s best record and home-court advantage for the postseason. They will play at San Antonio on Sept. 18 and return home on Sept. 20 if that game is necessary to finish the first-round, best-of-three series.
The Lynx swept the four-game regular-season series from the Silver Stars.
The Lynx have only hosted two playoff games in their 12-year history, and they’ve never advanced past the first round.
Minnesota wraps up the regular season on Sunday with a game in Phoenix against the Mercury.
