SE Minnesota Man, 67, Dies In Ladder Fall

GRANGER, Minn. (AP) -- A southeastern Minnesota man has died after falling off a ladder.

The Fillmore County sheriff's office says 67-year-old Gary James Pratt of Harmony died in Tuesday's accident.

Pratt fell from a ladder while painting a barn at his home in Granger, near the Iowa border, and was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Sheriff's Capt. John DeGeorge says in a news release that scaffolding that was supporting a ladder apparently tipped backward, causing the fall.

KAGE Radio reports the Fillmore County sheriff's office and the Howard County, Iowa, medical examiner are still investigating.
