Weather Blog: After Sunday, Say Goodbye To The 90s
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It was another sunny and warm day Saturday across Minnesota with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
The high climbed just shy of the 90-degree mark at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), coming in at 89 degrees, which is 15 degrees above the average. Friday's high at MSP did hit 90 degrees making it the 16th day of the year with a 90-degree high temperature or warmer, and tomorrow could make number 17 with highs likely to reach into the upper 80s in the Twin Cities.
Sunshine will remain in command Sunday, but Monday northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin will experience scattered showers with the approach of a cold front that will bring much cooler conditions for everyone by midweek. Expect high temperatures only in the 60s on Tuesday with highs not likely to surpass the 60 degree mark on Wednesday.
