MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Carlton County police said rescuers found the body of the 24-year-old man who drowned Monday afternoon after the St. Louis River pulled him downstream.
Police said rescuers found the man’s body at around 8:15 p.m. in 8 – 10 feet of water in the Jay Cooke State Park.
Search crews began looking for the man at around 5 p.m. when his girlfriend, who was swimming with him, called 911, police said.
The man’s identity will be given after his family is notified.
