CARLTON COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) — A man who drowned in a state park in Carlton County Monday afternoon has been identified.
The body of Samuel James Sanchez Eno, 24, of Duluth was found by rescuers at 8 p.m. Monday after the St. Louis River pulled him downstream earlier that day.
Police said rescuers found Eno’s body in 8 – 10 feet of water in the Jay Cooke State Park.
Search crews began looking Eno at around 5 p.m. when his girlfriend, who was swimming with him, called 911, police said.
