MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s finally official, Ellen launched her new season at 4 p.m. Tuesday on WCCO-TV Channel 4.

To celebrate that big move to 4 p.m., thousands of viewers applied online to win the “Ultimate Ellen Experience” at the WCCO-TV booth at the Minnesota State Fair.

Last week, we got the fun job of surprising the winner at her home in Cedar, which is just west of East Bethel north of the Twin Cities.

The big winner was Peggy Decker.

“This is just wonderful. I love Ellen,” Decker said. “I’ve tried to get on her show a couple times. I have a son that lives in L.A., and every time we go out and try to get tickets and it’s impossible. I’m glad she’s going to 4 p.m. I was wondering who was going to take Oprah’s place, and it’s a great time of day.”

Decker said she loves the beginning of Ellen’s show with all the dancing. Now she can do dancing of her own when she gets out to watch a taping of the show.

The “Ultimate Ellen Experience” includes a trip for two to Los Angeles to watch a live taping of the Ellen show.
