IF THEY LOVE THESE OVER PAID LOOSERS SO MUCH?? GET RID OF MC DAUGH AND AP PUT THAT MONEY INTO THE NEW STADIUM!! TAKE JA WITH ALSO!!

    1. Scott says:

You need to learn to spell, it is loser. I find your rants funny. I take it you have anger issues. You must be one of them Iron rangers with no class. Anyway yes it will cost to build a new stadium, but it will also trickle down to other businesses . Food vendors, hotels, bars, rental companies, as well as stores. Everyone stands to make money.

    2. Amy says:

WHY PACKERS FANS STINK…AND WHY PACKERS FANS ARE HERE MAKING STUPID COMMENTS.
      GO AWAY PACKERS !!!

  2. al says:

The state could not find 250 million dollars for property tax refunds, and yet the state is going to find 300 million dollars for ziggies stadium?

  3. Sue J says:

Not one penny!! Like Al said above they can’t find money to pay us, but they can find money for a stadium?

  4. Jake says:

After yesterday’s game??? Good luck with THAT. You see, the vikings have to SELL us on such an idea, and right now, it’s not selling very well. If Ford wanted the public to build them a new assembly plant to build the ‘Edsel’, would the public approve of it??

  5. AL IS RIGHT!!!!!!! says:

RAISE OUR TAXES TO PAY THE 300MIL FORGET IT!!!! SEND THEM PACKING!!!

  6. Win one would help says:

Raise taxes on Jared Alan and his co-workers to pay for a NFL class stadium.

  7. Otto says:

Maybe we should build half the stadium and leave the 2nd half undone…sounds like something familiar

  8. PO'd up North says:

After the BS game they had and threw away? New Stadium? Oh Hell NO! They don’t deserve it anymore than the Twins did.

  9. k-mart says:

Going 0-2 isn’t going to gain any support. We need a fresh team in here anyway.

  10. Johnny Rain Cloud says:

Do you people really not get how you are fair weather fans? The vikings lose a game and the folks come out to proclaim against a new stadium based on one game. Just so you are aware the lions got a new stadium and I can’t remember the last time they won the division or even went to the playoffs. It’s not a question of do we build a stadium because they win, it’s build a stadium because the vikings deserve a updated stadium with solid infrastructure, plus it will create full time jobs and benefit the local economy!

    1. We don't need or want the Vikings says:

Are you cracked? I don’t think people are against a new stadium based on one game, it’s based more on them existing for 50 years and never winning a super bowl.

They’re overpaid, under-performing non-deserving players with a money hungry owner. They don’t deserve a cent from the taxpayers.

      1. Johnny Rain Cloud says:

So you are saying if the vikings had 1 superbowl title you would be fine if they got a stadium. If the vikings won it 2 years ago people on here would be screaming at the legislature to build one. It’s the fair weather in everyone!

Is a 1/2 cent increase in taxes going to break your bank?

        1. Dan says:

I agree with you Johnny. Minnesota Fans are unbelievably fair weather. They also don’t know a thing about the funding. Yes, the state would put in $300 mil but the Vikings will be paying that back with interest of about $300 mil by paying rent of $20 mil over 30 years ($600 mil). If they were allowed to leave, it would take a new stadium anyway plus about $500 mil to get another team to Minnesota. How much would the state loose if they left is the bigger question.

          1. Snowlocke says:

Johnny and Dan appear to be the only smart ones on here. Let’s get positive and get this deal done. The Vikings ARE Minnesota and they will be kept here and I have no problem with paying a measly half cent extra in sales tax in Ramsey county when I buy stuff there.

  11. idiocracy says:

Quick! Push for a stadium before the bandwagon fans jump off!

I’m thinking that if Minnesota wants to keep the Vikings… They may need to BUY the vikings.

  12. Adam says:

No NEW stadium until we can find a team to play in it!

  13. if we want a team.....well then says:

I’m torn. I agree with al, but then I do want the Vikings to stay and I know the Metrodome is an outdated facility with a poor location. My son road tripped for four hours to yesterdays game and totally loved it even though they lost. The only downside to the experience was having to travel through the ghetto and then trip over the homeless on the way into the stadium. So if we want a team, Vikings or any other, it may be time for a new facility in a better location. The economic timing is certainly off, but if we want a team we may have to bite the bullet and build.
