Police Raid Duluth Head Shop For Designer Drugs

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) – Police have raided a Duluth head shop that has openly sold synthetic marijuana, “bath salts” and other designer drugs, and a clerk says officers have arrested the son of the owner.

 

Lava Haugen is a clerk at The Last Place on Earth and the girlfriend of its owner, Jim Carlson. She says an officer came in Wednesday and bought a bag of “herbal incense.” She says police then arrested his son, took him to jail, and produced a warrant.

 

Haugen says about 15 officers are boxing up incense, other items and money, and going through files and records. She says they also confiscated Carlson’s cell phone and computer.

 

Before the raid, Carlson said he’s not selling any substances officially listed as banned but acknowledged he operates in a gray area.

    Hilarious! I was at this shop looking to buy a lighter for some cigars I bought at the hotel I stayed in. There was a MASSIVE line of people cashing in EBT’s or something! Each one of the individuals (men and women) were all so run down looking. One could only assume they were all on welfare!

    Hopefully the shop will close and they can clean up that nasty area of Duluth. What a dump!

    WHat goes around comes around. I don’t care if the DOPE DEALER IS BLACK, WHITE, or WHATEVER. He thinks he has suck a great lawyer?? Bring him on!! This dangster should have been put out of bidness a long time ago. Clean up duluth from all of the DOPE and PROSTITUTIN, and make it a decent city, before it’s Milwaukee’s twin. Time is not on your side.
