Minneapolis Man Charged In Sexual Abuse Case
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 31-year-old man is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 12, according to documents filed Thursday in Minneapolis Federal Court.
Joseph Valerian Parshall was indicted with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse against a child under the age of 12.
The indictment states that on Feb. 1 and July 27 of this year, Parshall committed a sexual act against the child. The Red Lake Tribale Police Department was informed about the incident on July 27. Parshall was arrested Aug. 31 in Minneapolis by the FBI and remains in custody.
If convicted, Parshall faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and at least 30 years in prison.
