ELLSWORTH, Wis. (WCCO) – Two people were injured after being ejected from a motorcycle on Highway 35, just south of 570th Street in Isabelle Township.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Joe Wiita, 36, of New Prague, Minn. was traveling north on Highway 35 when he caught the edge of the road, lost control and went into the ditch. He and his passenger, Carrie Wiita, 34, of New Prague, were ejected.

Both were transported by ambulance to Red Wing Airport, where they were flown by helicopter to Regions Hospital. Their conditions were not available.
