Motorcyclist Dies In Fridley Crash

FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — A 24-year-old Coon Rapids man died after crashing his motorcycle in Fridley, Minn. over the weekend.

Police said Nicholas Owczynsky was driving along southbound University Avenue on Saturday evening. While attempting to make a turn onto westbound 73rd Avenue Northeast, Owczynsky lost control and crashed onto the pavement.

He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in grave condition and died the next morning around 10:20 a.m.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered massive head trauma.

    When will people learn to wear helmets?? I mean I’m sorry for everyones loss but I maybe could have been prevented had he been wearing a helmet.
