Authorities Searching For Driver Of Car Struck By Train

ANDOVER (WCCO) -- Authorities are searching for the driver of a car struck by a train in Andover Tuesday evening, according to Anoka County Sheriff's Department.

At around 9:30 p.m., Anoka County Sheriff's deputies responded to the accident near 181st Avenue Northwest and Tamarack Street Northwest. When they arrived, they found an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck by the train.

The Sheriff's Office said physical evidence at the scene indicated that the vehicle was occupied during the collision.

Emergency personnel are currently searching the surrounding area for the driver.
