Ummm…who rides at night in the fall? Its deer time from 5:00 PM on. Its dangerous just riding in the daylight…..

I ride at night, unless there’s ice or snow on the roadway. Just need to be aware they are out there and ride appropriately.

I work for a towing company and we get a lot of calls this time of year for car vs. deer collisions. They can’t be avoided and much damage is done to the vehicle and people can be hurt or killed. Be careful!!!!

Sounds like the end of the run-around. Too obscure..?

The St. Cloud Times said they were not wearing helmets. I’m a retired dialysis nurse. I’ve always automatically thought “Organ Donor” whenever I saw a helmetless rider. I never will understand how the desire to feel the wind in your hair can override the desire to see your kids and grandkids grow up. I feel so badly for this couple and their families.

I understand that people don’t want to be told that they have to wear a helmet. but think about it, when driving in a car you have the body of the car around you, some cars have roll bars, you have air bags and if you don’t wear a seat belt you can be fined. Yet I’ve seen motorcycle drivers weaving between cars on the freeway, with the driver shirtless, hatless and helmet-less and wearing shorts and it’s okay. And you can’t say that it only hurts the motorcycle driver if he gets hurt. Not true. we had a friend who didn’t wear a helmet and landed on his head. He was in an insititure for many years, not able to fully function. This costs the taxpayers a lot of money. And sometimes a person in a car will try and swerve to avoid the motorcycle that just cut him off in traffic, and end up in a ditch or hurt themselves. If there are rules for cars, there should be rules for motorcycle riders also.

One ran out in front of my car this morning at 6:30 A.M. Luckily I live on a gravel road w/ not much traffic.
