Weather Blog: Great Running Conditions
It will be chilly to start Saturday morning for those running the 10K (7:30 a.m.) and the 5K (9 a.m.) as part of the Twin Cities Marathon. Expect temperatures from 40-46 degrees with a light wind from the southeast.
It will be dry. I expect the volunteers will feel the chill more than the runners. Later in the day we will warm to the mid-60s with plenty of sunshine and a tolerable wind.
Sunday morning will be a bit warmer for the runners and volunteers. It should be about 46 degrees for the start of the 10 Mile (7:09 a.m.) and around 50 degrees for the start of the 26.2 mile marathon (8 a.m.). The wind will be from the south 5-6 mph and once again it will be sunny. It really warms up in the afternoon as we head for the 70s.
Expect sunny and warm conditions throughout next week.
