Nominations Accepted For Minn. Book Artist Award

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Minnesota Book Artist Award.

The annual award recognizes a Minnesota book artist or collaborative group for artistic excellence as well as significant contributions to Minnesota's book arts community.

Individuals may nominate more than one book artist or collaborative group, but each nomination requires a separate nomination form. Book artists and groups may nominate themselves.

Nomination forms must be submitted by Friday. Eligible nominees will be invited to accept the nomination by submitting up to 10 images of their work, a resume and a statement. Those materials are due by Oct. 28.

The winner will be honored at the Minnesota Book Awards Gala next April.
