ST. PAUL (WCCO) — The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office says it suffered a “devastating loss” when one of its deputies died unexpectedly Monday morning.
Deputy Dan Ruettimann’s body was found Monday morning.
“Dan has been committed to law enforcement service for his entire adult life. Dan loved protecting the citizens of Ramsey County,” the Sheriff’s Office statement said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dan’s family and friends in this time of their loss.”
The Sheriff’s Office says the Medical Examiner has not released Ruettimann’s cause of death.
The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
