Rice Park Named Top 10 Great Spaces

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — A St. Paul Park is on the list for the 2011 Great Places In America.

Rice Park in downtown St. Paul made the list of Top 10 Great Public Spaces put out by the American Planning Association, a non-profit educational organization.

The CEO of APA said, “Rice Park’s splendor stems from its simplicity and permanence. … It provides a visual and physical respite from the impressive collection of buildings and busy street life that surround it.”

The list, which started in 2007, recognizes unique and exemplary streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces — honoring 10 places in each category.

Wisconsin also made the top 10 list with Milwaukee RiverWalk also named as a Great Public Space.

They obviously didn’t visit there when the water was turned off in the fountain, and the drunks had been vomiting, and urinating in it.

The word is spelled meant not ment. Plus there’s nothing wrong with a little vomit and pee every now and then. I’ve never seen it in Rice Park but i have all over the East and West coast cities.

In Saint Paul? You have to be kidding. Minnesota has very good concealed carry laws. Exercise your rights my friend and fear not!
