Savoring The Sunshine In Downtown Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A lot of people took longer lunch breaks today, taking in what could be the last warm weather before winter.

“Get up run! Run from your cubicle. Tell your boss you are done for the day,” said one woman eating lunch outside.

Not bad advice on a day where Minneapolis won’t be breaking any temperature records but still enjoying the beautiful weather.

“This is wonderful. You have to take advantage of this when you can. So coming out here for lunch is wonderful,” said the woman’s friend.

Lunch seemed to linger a little longer than usual for many.

“I think I was supposed to be back five minutes ago,” said another woman.

But most people said being a little late is worth it if it means soaking up what may be the last of the warm weather.

“It’s beautiful,” said a man on his bike. “You better enjoy it before the wintertime come.”
