Weather Blog: Cooling Down

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota peaked on Wednesday with a new daily record high of 88 degrees in Minneapolis, braking a record that had stood for 132 years.

Now, we start to cool off slowly. The wind will stay strong from the southeast Thursday and we will be dry once again.

A few more clouds along with moister air will keep our highs a tad cooler. We should max out around 83.

By Friday, we start to see some rain in the region. It will fall across the Dakotas and western Minnesota first and eventually we will tap some of that moisture across the entire state.

This weekend won't be a complete wash, but we will get some much needed rainfall.
