Day 2: OccupyMN Continues In Mpls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – More crowds gathered at Occupy Minnesota Saturday as protesters marched down Nicollet Mall and remained vocal against corporate greed.

Some of the protesters at the demonstration had slept there Friday night in tents on the Hennepin County Government Plaza. One of those who braved the night was Carla Beaudet, a 61-year-old teacher, who says she is worried about her grandchildren.

"We've gotten too top heavy with wealth in this country," Beaudet said. "Corporations are not people and should not have the rights of people."

Meanwhile, the Occupy Wall Street demonstration has been going on for 22 days and shows no sign of letting up. Protesters marched Saturday to Washington Square Park and held peaceful rallies, The Associated Press reported.

Anti-Wall Street protesters across the nation are angry over the bank bailouts, the high unemployment rate and the way wealth is distributed in the United States.
