Minn. Dentist Fined $30,000 For Alleged Gropings
SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A South St. Paul dentist has been fined $30,000 by the state Board of Dentistry for allegedly groping female patients
The board says Keith Ostrosky made "suggestive, lewd, lascivious or improper advances" toward female patients while treating them between 2005 and last year.
Eight women accuse Ostrosky of touching their breasts or laying his forearm on their breasts while picking up dental tools he placed on them.
Ostrosky's lawyer says there's "no basis" for the claims. Attorney John Degnan says his client told the board he didn't recall touching the woman, and if it did happen it was unintentional.
A St. Paul Pioneer Press report says Ostrosky must take a professional-boundaries training course. He must also have another female in the room whenever he's with a female patient.
