MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Twelve soldiers are back in Minnesota after a one-year deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Their unit is part of the Operational Mentoring Liaison Team, who served in northern Afghanistan. They teamed up with Croatian soldiers to train, mentor and advise Afghan soldiers.

The troops also worked with Eurpoean soldiers to provide supplies to Afghan schools.

The soldiers say they are glad to be back.
