MAYER, Minn. (WCCO) – The Bloomington Bomb Squad was summoned to a home near Mayer, Minn. after a resident found an old box filled with dynamite.
According to Carver County authorities, the box was found Sunday evening as the owner — who had just recently purchased the house — was cleaning out the home.
The wooden box had the word “explosives” written on the side.
The bomb squad came to the house Monday morning and determined that the fire department could do a controlled burn of the dynamite sticks.
There were no injuries in the incident.
