Soccer Star Chastain Gives Free Soccer Clinic

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brandi Chastain was the darling of American sports when the U.S. women's soccer team won the World Cup back in 1999, and now she will be the darling of one school in the Twin Cities.

Chastain, who memorably ripped off her shirt after scoring the winning goal in the 1999 World Cup, will give students at Andersen United Community School a once-in-a-lifetime soccer clinic.

The clinic starts at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the school located on Andersen Lane in Minneapolis.

It is all part of a nationwide effort called "When Will You Pick?" promoting the importance of children getting flu vaccines.

State and local leaders will also be speaking to students, parents and community members about the importance of the flu vaccinations.
