Weather Blog: Big Changes Ahead

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We finally received a respectable amount of rain on Wednesday.

Many towns enjoyed over half an inch. It's certainly not enough to solve our drought issues, but we will take anything at this point.

Now come a few characteristics of nastiness with this storm system.  First of all, cooler air will take over for the next several days with highs in the 60s for our Thursday and below average highs in the 50s on Friday.

It will feel even cooler with a stiff breeze blowing from the northwest increasing to 15-25 miles per hour by Friday. Things calm down a bit this weekend, and try to remember that the chilly feel in the air is actually average for this time of year.
