BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a body was pulled out of a wooded area of Brooklyn Center Saturday afternoon.
Authorities are in the area of Shingle Creek Parkway and John Martin Road. The Hennepin County Crime Lab is on the scene investigating.
Police said they got a call Saturday afternoon from a resident who was walking on Shingle Creek Parkway near John Martin Road and came across the body. Authorities said it appears to be a white man in his 40s who was dead in a field. Brooklyn Park Police Sgt. Patrick Toohey said based on the man’s clothing and a backpack he was carrying, the man appeared to be homeless. Authorities say at this time the man’s death does not appear to be suspicious.
