Man Who Complained To Cops Is Charged Himself
HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man who contacted police to complain that he was being harassed by rumors claiming he raped a young girl has been charged with criminal sexual conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, 21-year-old Robert Classen, of Hastings, Minn., contacted police last month. He said he was being accused of raping a girl. He told police he wanted the rumors to stop.
Police responded by contacting the mother of the girl in question. She said her 14-year-old daughter had reported being inappropriately touched by Classen.
Police interviewed the victim, who reported that on several occasions, Classen touched her inappropriately.
Classen now faces a felony charge of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
