ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — St. Paul police have located a man sought in the apparent homicide of a 27-year-old woman found dead in her home.
Authorities arrested the 31-year-old man on Wednesday. He is identified as Corey Dean Thomas and is being held in Miami on a Minnesota Department of Corrections arrest warrant.
Thomas was sought as a person of interest in the death of Megan Neely of St. Paul. A friend says she was the mother of two daughters, ages 1 and 10.
Neely was reported missing Saturday, but a search of her home found no sign of her. Investigators returned to her home Monday and found her body.
St. Paul police will travel to Miami in the next few days to talk to the man as their investigation continues.
The cause of Neely’s death has not been released.
