Pumpkin Facial Masque
2 T. cooked or canned pumpkin, pureed
1 T. honey (preferably raw, organic, unprocessed)
1 T. plain full-fat yogurt or full fat mayonnaise
In a small bowl, combine ingredients until mixed well. Using your fingers or a brush, apply masque to your face and neck avoiding the eyes. Relax for approximately 10-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, pat dry and apply moisturizer.
For an exfoliating effect, add 1 tsp. dry oatmeal and 1 tsp. brown sugar to the recipe. Relax for the 10-15 minutes as above, and then gently buff face and neck thoroughly using small circular motions before rinsing.
If your skin is oily, add 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar or witch hazel to the recipe.
For dry and/or aging skin, break open a vitamin E capsule and add contents to the recipe, along with 1/2 T. heavy cream.
