MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s been five months since a deadly tornado hit North Minneapolis, and the community is still struggling to get back on its feet.
But as struggling continues, so does the donating and volunteering. Lots of people dropped off warm coats and hats Saturday to help children whose families lost their winter gear in the storm. The Jordan New Life Neighborhood Hub accepted donations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The group MplsTornado.Info hosted the event and they reported that an entire room was filled with donated coats and winter wear.
