Bemidji St. Beats Michigan Tech 3-1

BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) -- Bemidji State scored twice on the power play to beat Michigan Tech 3-1 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game on Saturday.

The Beavers (3-3-0, 2-2-0) earned the sweep of the two-game series despite being outshot 32-16 by the Huskies (4-2-0, 2-2-0).

Bemidji State scored twice on seven shots on goal in the second period. Shea Walters and Ben Kinne scored the goals, both on the power play.

Andrew Walsh made 31 saves for the Beavers. He allowed only Alex MacLeod's goal at 7:56 of the first.

Kevin Genoe had 13 saves for the Huskies, whose four-game winning streak was stopped by Friday's 6-5 loss.
