Police: Wis. Woman Stabbed, Tried To Shoot Fiance

STURTEVANT, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin woman has been arrested after police say she stabbed her fiance and tried to shoot him after catching him with another woman.

A Journal Times of Racine report says she's jailed on more than $50,000 bond.

Sturtevant police say they were called late Thursday night to a home on a report of a fight. They found a 40-year-old man who had been stabbed.

The man told police that his fiance found him with the woman in the basement of his home. He says the fiance aimed a gun at his head and pulled the trigger. He says when it didn't fire, she stabbed him instead.

The stab wound wasn't life-threatening. The other woman wasn't hurt.

The fiance was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide.
