EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings are discussing suspended cornerback Chris Cook’s future.
Coach Leslie Frazier said he’d be meeting Monday afternoon with team officials to “see which direction we’re going to be heading” with Cook, who was charged last week with felony domestic assault for allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend. Frazier sidestepped a question at his news conference about whether Cook could be released. The coach said only, “We’ve got a lot of things to talk about.”
The Vikings have their bye this week, but Frazier said “all indications are” cornerback Antoine Winfield will be back from a neck injury to play Green Bay on Nov. 14. Winfield has missed four games. He said “without a doubt” he’ll be on the field against the Packers.
