Mpls Police Need Help Finding Armed Robbery Suspect

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Police are looking for the public's help to identify a man who robbed a grocery/convenience store in south Minneapolis on Oct. 4.

Authorities said the incident happened just before 10 p.m. on the 2800 block of East 42nd Street. The man was armed with a sawed off shotgun and demanded money from the cash register. An employee gave the man the money and the suspect fled the store on foot. Nobody inside the store was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black man about 20 to 25 years old with a medium complexion. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build and was wearing a brown hooded jacket, black jeans and a scarf or bandana over the lower half of his face during the robbery.

Police believe the man could be connected with a series of robberies in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Anyone who has information about the incident or who might be able to identify the man is asked to call Minneapolis Police.
