Weather Blog: October Summary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We wrapped up the month of October and will remember it as a warm and dry one.

Our temps wound up 6.4 degrees above average (enough to make it the 10th warmest October on record). But we only received 0.70" of rain (that is 1.73" below average).

We did escape October without even a trace of snow. We even have a deficit in the snow department.

Our second November day will not be as warm as the first with a cooler pool of air overhead. After some morning showers across southern Minnesota, expect increasing sunshine and a high near 48 degrees.

Something to be aware of is a storm that will affect us this weekend.

We should be on the warm side of the system with rain across much of Minnesota and snow possible mainly in North Dakota.

It will be windy for all. Not ideal for the deer hunting opener.
