Man Sleeping In Moving Camper Dies In Fire

ROBERTS, Wis. (WCCO) – A 22-year-old Wisconsin man died after a camper he was sleeping in caught fire while being pulled along Interstate 94.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Eric M. Ludwig, of Stratford, Wis., was sleeping in a motor home trailer being pulled by a Ford F-150 truck heading westbound on I-94 near Roberts.

It was not clear what caused the camper to start on fire.

Ludwig was transported to Regions Hospital, but was pronounced dead.

There were no other injuries reported in the incident.
