MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Clear Lake man got a shotgun slug in the forearm Saturday in what police called a hunting-related accident.

Kurt Goenner, 45, suffered the non-life threatening shotgun wound near the intersection of River Road and 95th Avenue in Clear Lake Township, Sherburne County police said.

Forty-year-old Dana Hartung, also of Clear Lake, fired the shot. No criminal charges are expected, police said.

An ambulance drove Goenner to St. Cloud Hospital, where he is being treated.

Nobody gets shot by accident. Someone was doing something stupid.

The deer are a lot better at making you miss!” Might have been the three or four six packs,I don’t know”. Seriously, I hope the guy recovers luckily they were not six miles from their car and not sure where the car was.

That is why they are called “accidents.”
Why are you assuming Murph that he was drinking? Not everyone drinks when they are deer hunting.
Not every man uses opening weekend to leave town, drink, never take their gun out of their case, throw a couple bullets away so he can lie to his wife and say he got a “couple shots off.”
Yeah, shots of what. If drinking was involved we will hear.
Hoping he will be alright after this. I mean both of the victims.

Nice shootin’ Tex. Maybe the guy’s arm looked like a deer.

I wonder if alcohol was involved.
