Obama Campaign Opens 2012 Office In Minn.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign now has a Minnesota outpost.

Obama’s Organizing for America group planned a grand opening Monday on a Minneapolis office suite, the first it has opened in Minnesota for the 2012 campaign.

The Obama campaign has been building out staff in the state since the Democrat formally launched his second term bid in April. The group has held volunteer trainings and phone banks.

Obama carried Minnesota and its 10 electoral votes in the 2008 election. No Republican nominee has won Minnesota in a presidential election since Richard Nixon in 1972.

  2. fitswell says:

how’s that change working for you all ???? Idot’s

    1. Zing says:

First of all, it’s “idiots”. Second, Obama is a centrist and still being opposed at every turn by the GOP. They can”t let him and the Democrats fix anything or they will not have a shot in 2012. The GOP is holding up progress for political reasons. It’s treason really. I’m sorry you can’t see that but since you can’t spell, I’m not that surprised. Typical middle class stooge fooled and used by those much smarter and wealthier than yourself.

      1. DougT says:

A “centrist” would indeed depend on your point of reference. Compared to Che Guevara – perhaps.

Compared to even Clinton – not even close…..

And when you own 2/3s of the government – then one would say you own the mess. And its one thing to inherit a mess (that you campaigned as a solution to) – its another to make it much worse…

    2. Mayhem says:

      Idots?

      I think you meant ‘idiot.’

The Change is great…what I wish would change is that the GOP backers would learn how to spell.

Then again, you represent your party well so stay an ‘idot.”

  3. NoBama says:

Go away. You’ve done enough damage.

    1. Matt says:

funny he hasn’t done any damage. Its the Teaparty that has done the damage. Their main focus is to make them look bad. Look at Bachmann what has she done to help, hell what has she done at all? Collect a free paycheck for doing nothing?

      1. just sayin says:

Wow. You must have a real good job with your ability to pay attention.

Your parents must be so proud.

  4. Kevin says:

Is there a toilet there? Maybe the Occupy Mpls protesters could hang out there…….

    1. Gotta says:

sink too. There’s also stuff for TeaBaggers to read, but be forewarned; they might learn something.

And it doesnt matter who wins….it all bs…always has been and always will be….Oh and Bin Laden was killed from information gained during Bush…and Qaddafi was shot in the head by war criminals…after an attack by the UN…….its all a bad movie…and if you beleive in any of them….you are the problem…..just arm yourself and wait for the fall…..

    1. just sayin says:

gee whiz you are sooooooo smart kevin. i wuv you

    2. IMA POS Kevin says:

Are you sure you don’t need a referral for your issues. Is everyone around you a miserable person, too?

  9. real deal says:

It will be hilarious to see how BADLY he is beaten. As if the last election wasn’t humiliating enough! LOL!

    1. Mayhem says:

      um…by who?

no one in the GOP is fit to hold the office, THATS for sure.

Ill take my chances on another 4 years with Obama.

      1. WhatBS says:

And you think Obama is fit to hold office?

        1. Mayhem says:

hmmm….must be a GOP’er…way to point out the obvious there Clarence

GOP hasnt had a legit president since Reagan

your bush pretty much destroyed the office.

and the GOP in the hunt now…a grab ass, a racist, a status seeker, and a few others whose marbles are runniing loose inside their heads…Backman comes to mind real fast.

ya, I want one of them folks in office running a country.

          1. listen and learn grasshopper says:

Bush destroyed the Office? You mean the last 4 years of his term under a democrat congress? Hmmm…

What about Obama destroying the economy, under 2 years of democrats in congress…?

            1. Mayhem says:

ahhh the power of VETO…..and knowing when to use it and not to use it.

              Bush didnt have a clue.

Im quite confident that with a democratic congress and President, this country would be where it needs to be by now.

As it stands now, the president is the only thing keeping the economy from imploding completely with a republican congress.

You cant fix stupid in less than 2 yrs what your bush did in 8.

      2. Cain 2012 says:

        Cain will win. Hands down.

        1. Mayhem says:

tisk….ya, and snowballs are on display in hell.

You and Bachman must have came off the same spaceship.

      3. DougT says:

Anyone except Barry O – ANYONE would be better – my dog would be better!!

        1. jackactionhero says:

So you voted for Sarah Palin?

It’s all becoming clear now, Doug…

          1. DougT says:

I would gladly vote for Sara over barry. Heck I would vote for Hillary over the Not Ready for Prime Time Player – Mr BO.🙂

  10. Zing says:

You want real progress, Through out every GOP senator and congress person. Both parties are bought and paid for but only one is at least partially responsive to middle class working people. That would be the Democrats. The GOP is so far gone down the pockets of oil, energy and Wall Street it’s not even funny.

    1. DougT says:

      peace, land and bread.!!

      All power to the Soviets.!!!

(yup – they are trying it again… did not work so well the first time and no one reads history…)

    2. WhatBS says:

And Dems are so far up the az of the greenies, Sierra Club, Hollywood and special interists and the fact you can’t see that and what the Global Warmers have done to stan in the way of progress, that is what is funny.

      1. Mayhem says:

and GOP’ers need spell check soooo bad that when they post an argument full of misspelled words….it actually makes ’em more stupid than they already are just being a republican….thereby making the point the’re trying to make even less relevant.

Better get fact-checker too while your at it, Clarence.

        1. Julie says:

More proof that publlic education is not working.

        2. DougT says:

          Republican -bad-evil-stupid-bad-evil-stupid…….

Is that it? II that all the “progressives” have left for an argument? And oh great intellectual – exactly what facts need to be checked? Seems correct to me – but then I have not been guzzling the Kool-Aid like the zombies of obama

          1. Franki says:

It is hard to have an arguement with people that have denial of reality. The GOP denies responsibility for the recession, denies budgetary responsibility for their wars, and so on. With record corporateprofits and every statistic pointing to the wealthy getting wealthier and jobs not being created to end the recession, not onee GOP can explain how cutting taxes to the wealthy will create more jobs. Whats is there to say but your line?

  11. Kevin says:

    i am rilly dum

  12. Taxpayer says:

    ACORN re-born.

How many times will ‘we the people’ fall for this??

    1. Mayhem says:

      oh, I know…

and THEN they go a vote ’em in the house for a majority for petes sake!

gullible, gullible GOP backers most definitley!

      1. Taxpayer says:

How about a grammar check?? You’ve certainly posted enough comments about other people and their spelling skills.

And, you kindof missed the point. ACORN was given federal dollars through democratic legislation. Look it up… Obama has had personal ties to individuals at ACORN in the past.

Why are the American people footing the bill for this organization.

        Get it ??

  13. Julie says:

Occupy Minnesota now has a place ot stay warm and be welcome.

  14. CommonMAn says:

Grow government, grow government grow government. It does not matter what else happens as long as we grow government the waco left will gain power. We will never cut government so one day the government will control everything. This is all that matters, the rest of the back and forth triva will not matter in 30 years as government will be so big they will be able to do anything they want. Government cars, housing etc. All income is for the govermnment etc. No elections. Put anyone they do not like out of business. And the public unions will be their tool to help get this done. Ok, tell me where anyplace where there has been a cut in government or less power to public unions etc.

  15. Ron Burgundy says:

Obama will not lose the election unless the GOP can get their chit together and stop the parade of fools they are putting out there. Please find a viable GOP candidate so I can vote with confidence.

    1. Mayhem says:

      Unfortunately, Reagan is dead

      1. GOPSUX says:

Reagan was dead when he was president.

  16. Linda says:

Did not appreciate the way this was reported. Obama (democrats) may be in trouble in this swing state? Misleading….

  17. Mark says:

for all who don’t want to be counted as morons, it’s over. just brilliant

  18. StraycatStrut says:

Obama: “There is an oil spill”? errrr… lets “wait and see”
Obama:”Solyndra:….ummmm “Don’t tell Fox News, no one will know”
Obama: “lets print more money, solve the problem”
Obama” “Credit raitng dowm”…errrr…. “Bush’s fault”
Obama aaaah… “Pass the bill before we read it”
Obama… “Hey, I’m on Oprah and The View today”
Obama…. “My goal is to golf in 57 Sates”
