SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — A 21-year-old man has been charged with animal cruelty, after police say he killed his sister’s cat after posting his plans on Facebook.
According to a criminal complaint, South St. Paul Police received a report on Oct. 12 from a woman who said her cat was killed.
The woman, who is between homes, said she left her cat and dog at her father’s home, with his permission, in South St. Paul. She said her brother, Michael Palodichuk, killed her cat sometime between Oct. 9 and Oct. 11.
She also told police Palodichuk posted on Facebook that he planned to kill both the cat and dog.
Palodichuk was interviewed by police and admitted to killing the cat by throwing it across the room and then suffocating it.
He faces one count of animal cruelty.
