Woman Suspected In Deaths Of Ex-Husband, Boyfriend
ASHLAND, Wis. (WCCO) -- Police in Ashland, Wis. say a Minnesota woman is suspected in the deaths of her ex-husband and her boyfriend.
Angelina Omara, 38, is in jail and faces a second-degree murder charge for allegedly killing her ex-husband, James Omara. A day after James' death, Angelina Omara's boyfriend, 36-year-old Michael Pies, of Blaine, was found dead at the Anderson Motel in Ashland.
Police say Pies died of a gunshot wound to the head. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Both Pies and James Omara appeared to have the same manner of death -- a gunshot wound to the head, with a pillow over their face.
Angelina Omara is a suspect in Pies' death but has not been officially charged. Neighbors say she had been staying with her ex-husband, James, at his Sauk Rapids apartment, off and on, for the last month.
She was also reportedly sharing a motel room in Ashland with Pies.
She was found by police in Sioux Falls, South Dakota -- a couple hours after Pies was found dead. Police say she was walking alongside a road after abandoning her vehicle about a mile away.
James Omara told a friend he was being threatened by Pies.
