FBI: Bank Tells Robber They’re Out Of Cash

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities are seeking a man who attempted to rob a credit union at gunpoint on Wednesday morning.

According to the FBI, a man entered the Richfield Bloomington Credit Union located on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington around 9:30 a.m.

Brandishing a handgun, the man ordered the credit union employees behind the counter and demanded cash.

Once they were behind the counter, one of the employees told the man the credit union didn’t have any cash. After hearing that, the robber fled, according to the FBI.

The man was described as white, about 35 years old. He was between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall and had a medium build. He was wearing a dark ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and black shoes.

Boy, that’s a heck of a detailed description for a man wearing a dark ski mask, and a hooded sweatshirt.

If he had been black, the description given would have been “man” and nothing more.

    1. Charlie Severson says:

Well they’re trained to carefully observe that stuff. I can even see them maybe being able to see around his eyes behind the mask to possibly get his race correct, but his age? How on Earth did they manage to figure that out?

Leave the CU’s alone. If you must rob, do it to the TBTF’s.

Wasn’t that like Pee Wee Herman in a Cheech and Chong movie — “I’m sorry — I took the money”

“I’m not sorry I took the money!!”

  12. Charlie Severson says:

It’s also pretty dumb that he went in a half hour after the credit union opened. You’d think he’d try to be the last one in there at 5 p.m. or something.

    1. jackactionhero says:

You think they don’t have money when they open or something? Like they need the Morning Rush sales to fill the tills? It’s a bank, not McDonalds, Charlie…

I think you might want to reconsider your statement, eh?

  15. End the Fed says:

The Credit Union (Bank) was probably telling the truth. The Ponzi scheme being run by the Federal Reserve (that is neither Federal nor has any reserves and is as Federal as ”Federal” Express) is evident here. Try to go in and collect your cash. You will have to wait a LONG time just to get $5,000. They will ask you lots of questions and they will have to get permission and will have to give it out in 20’s and even 10’s. Modern day banks only have to have 10% of deposits on hand. The rest they gamble with. Glad I bought gold and silver. That is me giving my middle finger to the banks. I also left the country and cashed out my Monopoly Owebama Bucks.

    1. Me says:

This is my bank and they never hassle me when I take out money, at any amount.
