COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) – One person was killed Thursday after a rollover accident in Cottage Grove, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The accident happened at about 3:10 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 95 and 70th Street in Cottage Grove. Authorities said a 2002 Honda Passport was traveling northbound on Highway 95 when it lost control just north of 70th Street and rolled over into the ditch.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the State Patrol. The passenger was transported to Region’s Hospital and their condition is not known at this time.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the person killed or the person transported to the hospital. The accident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. They were assisted by Cottage Grove Police, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Woodbury Police.
