Police: Random Bullet Breaks U of M Dorm Window
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An apparent random bullet broke two window panes and crashed into a University of Minnesota dormitory window sill early Monday morning, harming no one, police said.
University of Minnesota police responded to the shooting at Comstock Hall, located just east of the 300 block of East River Parkway, at 3:55 a.m. They checked the area below the window and along the Mississippi River, but found nothing.
Police said the window faced south and that the bullet was likely fired from the Mississippi's West Bank.
The incident is not believed to be a threat to the resident, police said.
