TWO HARBORS, Minn. (WCCO) – At least one motorist was killed along the north shore in a collision early Monday morning.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened at about 6 a.m. along Highway 61 near Gooseberry River.

A car traveling northbound on the highway lost control on an icy bridge deck and crossed into the opposing lane, crashing into another vehicle.

The State Patrol listed three people involved in the crash, but didn’t document their conditions, other than to say that it was a fatal crash.

The patrol will release more information Wednesday morning.
