Minneapolis Police Investigate Daytime Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police are looking for suspects in a shooting that injured a man this morning.

Police were called to 34th and Sheridan Avenue North about 9:30 a.m. after a man reportedly went up to a home and told the homeowner that he had been shot.

Police said the man was bleeding from his lower back. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Neighbors say it's odd to have something like this happen in broad daylight.

"Kind of changes how I think about my neighborhood. It makes me lock my doors more often. Not a good feeling," said one neighbor.

Police report some people were seen running from the scene at the time of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
