MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s the great Minnesota give-together!

Wednesday is Give to the Max Day sponsored by GiveMn.org.

Give to the Max day helps raise money for 3600 charities in Minnesota, from food shelves and shelters, to after school programs for kids and teens, and the arts.

This year, $6 million in matching funds will be given out in a 24-hour period.

Every hour a $1,000 donation will be given to a random donor’s charity and at the end of the day a random donor will be selected and a $10,000 prize will go to the charity of their choice.
