MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A musical based on Nat King Cole’s struggles on the set of his pioneering 1957 TV show is back by popular demand on a Twin Cities stage.

The production of “I Wish You Love” is returning to The Penumbra Theatre after premiering the sold-out show seven months ago. It went on to be performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Actor and singer Dennis Spears plays the part of Nat King Cole, which won him an Ivey Award for his portrayal of Cole.

Spears stopped by WCCO-TV to talk about the encore presentation which runs from Nov. 18- Dec. 4. Click here for show information.
