Youth Minister Sentenced For Criminal Sexual Conduct

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 54-year-old youth ministry director from Cambridge, Minn., was sentenced Friday to 36 months in prison for sexually assaulting a ministry member.

Mark Holm was an area director for Young Life, a non-denominational Christian ministry that reaches out to adolescents. An Isanti County judge sentenced Holm for third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Holm’s sentence was stayed for 10 years, as long as he abides by conditions and stays out of trouble. He must spend 11 months in jail, although he gets credit for time served. Holm must also complete sex offender treatment.

Police arrested Holm on Oct. 26, after obtaining evidence of a possible sexual assault.

  1. See BS says:

19 year old Mariah Yeater rose to notoriety super quickly when she claimed that teen singer 16 year old Justin Bieber fathered her three-month-old baby.

    Double Standard?

    1. BS I think not says:

Um 19 and 16 are much different than 54 and 17. What he had done was wrong. He had a family and a ministry with many young people who looked up to him including my self and a marriage and he chose to throw that away to have sex with a 17 year old girl. I think you question is BS. He should be in jail longer for wasting eveyone’s time and pleading not guilty orignally. His church put up bail for him, and lied to all of the people who care for him.
